Nada Yoga

Nada Yoga- Let the sounds of universe heal your being

-By Baishakhi Guin

There must be a music app on your phone with a song put on loop and everytime you find time or want to relax, you plug in your earphones and listen to the music. That music does something to you, an unexplainable harmony starts swirling within your body while you start to feel at ease with yourself.

Everything in this universe has a voice, the living and the non-living, they are singing into the cosmos at a frequency that isn't always audible to humans. But once you concentrate your soul and listen to these sounds, your being will tap into an unending channel of peace and healing.

Nada yoga is a form of yoga that relishes the vibrations of our universe. The silent vibrations of the self (anhata) and the external sound(ahata) are the two categories of Nada Yoga. Anhata and Ahata have proved to be a medium through which one can assimilate their mind and soul with the cosmos. According to Nāda yoga, when one concentrates on their own anahata, they can listen to their "inner sound", which can take up to nine different forms. Such a process of sensitivity and inner-awareness leads to an increased self-control and finally to Nirvana.

The use of these vibrations and resonances are also known to have therapeutic effects on various psychological and spiritual conditions. The practice of Nada Yoga can increase one's focus and unite all their energy centres or chakras.

At some point in our lives we've all wanted to see and know our true selves, Nada Yoga is not just an exercise, it's a conversation with the real YOU.
